As much as possible, on a shoot, I like to make the most of natural light conditions, but in the UK these aren't always what we want them to be to really show off the interiors of a property.
I use a set of portable studio lights and modifiers to either enhance the available natural light or to mimic the desired lighting condition.
Below are three photos taken at different times of the day. Image one is morning, image two lunchtime and image three is evening.

The truth is that in all three images above I have used studio lighting to recreate the times of day and these images were shot in very different conditions to how they look.

The four photos above show image one and then my camera showing what time it was shot and a couple of phone images that show what the light was actually like when I took the photograph.
